Dr Philip Tan is a registered specialist prosthodontist in Melbourne. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Melbourne before embarking on specialist prosthodontic training at the University of Iowa. Philip returned to Melbourne in 2006 and had since practiced from his Bayside Dental Specialists clinics in Cheltenham and Mornington.

Philip is a consultant prosthodontist at the Royal Children’s Hospital where he provides guidance and treatment for children with a variety of congenital dental disorders. His other roles have included being a reviewer various dental journals, a reviewer for the Dental Board of Australia and a prosthodontic post-graduate student examiner for the University of Melbourne.

Philip is a passionate exponent of digital dentistry and lectures throughout Australia and internationally on the topic. His expertise and attention to detail is well recognised throughout the international dental community with multinational dental manufacturers seeking his knowledge to help shape the future of prosthodontics around the globe. Philip is always willing to share his experience and receives much gratification from being part of the changing face of our dental environment. He believes that even those patients with significant dental issues should be able to enjoy a confident and healthy smile every day. The development of his patented AuDentes® implant bridge technique took several years and is a testament to his commitment to his patients and their unique dental needs.

Dr Sam Verco is a dually qualified Australian Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon. Having grown up in Adelaide, South Australia, he earned his Dentistry degree (BDS) at the University of Adelaide (2001), his Graduate Diploma in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Melbourne (2004) and his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Melbourne (2007).

After completing his Oral and Maxillofacial Training in 2013, he gained experience at some of the best hospitals in the country, including the Royal Dental Hospital Melbourne, Monash Medical Centre, Royal Melbourne Hospital, Dandenong Hospital, and Austin Hospital.

Dr Verco stays abreast of advancements in Dentistry by belonging to these associations: RACDS (Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons), ANZAOMS (Australian and New Zealand Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons), ADA (Australian Dental Association), IAOMS (International Association Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons) and ITI (International Team for Implantology).

Dr Verco’s specialty is the diagnosis and surgical treatment of defects, injuries and diseases of the facial skeleton and its associated structures. He especially enjoys the areas of Wisdom Tooth Removal, Orthognathic Surgery, Dental Implants, Facial Trauma.

Lachlan Thompson completed his technical training in Perth, Western Australia as a dental technician focusing on Aesthetic and Implant Dentistry. Since completing his education, he continually challenges his knowledge and skills, as he collaborates with leaders in digital technology throughout the world.

Lachlan opened his commercial laboratory Omni Dental in 2010 and has successfully implemented multi-faceted CAD/CAM workflows into the laboratory’s production lines. With laboratories located in Perth and Melbourne, Lachlan devotes much of his time to innovation, team mentoring and quality control at both centres. Lachlan lectures at the University of Western Australia teaching dental students about digital workflows in laboratories and is a sought after workshop presenter focusing on the changing face of digital dentistry and its impact on device construction.

Lachlan has a keen interest in the implementation of digital dentistry into both clinical and laboratory workflows and he continues to take a hands-on approach to the significant changes we see in the construction of dental devices in Australia.

Carolina graduated from the University Complutense of Madrid, one of the oldest in the world, in 2006. She moved shortly after to Oxford (UK), where she worked as a general dentist and undertook further studies in restorative dentistry, prosthodontics, and implants in London, Manchester, and France. During this time, she gained membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (UK) and passed the British Academy of Restorative Dentistry exams.

In early 2013 she settled in Melbourne and while working in private practice, she completed a part-time diploma in clinical dentistry in the field of implants at The University of Melbourne. Carolina also received her prosthodontics specialist training and degree at Melbourne University.

Carolina is a clinical demonstrator for undergraduate dental students and has lectured in Melbourne and regional Victoria for the Australian Dental Association. She particularly enjoys implant prosthodontics and makes her mission to deliver carefully tailored treatment in the most relaxed and gentle manner.

She is a member of the International Team for Implantology, the Australian Prosthodontic Society committee, the Australian Dental Association Oral Health Committee and the Australian Osseointegration Society.

On a personal note Carolina is a staunch foodie, avid traveler and loves to paint.
