The AuDentes® implant bridge is the solution for your patient’s edentulous dilemma. With a global aging population our team saw a gap in the provision of both an immediate and permanent solution for those patients who are time poor, dental phobic or those with exceptionally high expectations of their edentulous solution.
After years of seeing the positives, along with the limitations, of more the traditional All-On-4 protocol Australian Prosthodontist Dr Philip Tan set about to develop a revised treatment path with both the patient and dentist in mind. Utilising his clinical and digital skills, specialised surgical team and purpose built digital dental laboratory Dr Tan was able to provide his patient base with another option – faster recovery, fewer appointments and a final restoration fitted immediately.
Dr Philip Tan is a registered specialist prosthodontist from Melbourne, Australia. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Melbourne before embarking on specialist prosthodontic training at the University of Iowa. Philip shares his time between his Cheltenham and Mornington practices and enjoys providing all aspects of prosthodontic care.
Philip is a passionate exponent of digital dentistry and lectures throughout Australia and internationally on the topic. His expertise and attention to detail is well recognised throughout the international dental community with multinational dental manufacturers seeking his knowledge to help shape the future of prosthodontics around the globe. Philip is always willing to share his experience and receives much gratification from being part of the changing face of our dental environment.
Being Managing Director and Principal Prosthodontist of the ‘Specialist Smiles Group’ means that Philip is very much at the coal face, affording him the opportunity to understand the unique needs of both clinician and patient. He is an empathetic operator with a desire to source best practice solutions to ensure outstanding clinical results for his patients. Philips sincerity and willingness to share his challenges, along with his successes, is appreciated by many of his colleagues throughout the world.
The utilization of advanced digital technology mean that the restorative workflow for the AuDentes® protocol is far superior for both clinical team and patient.

Unlike other edentulous protocols AuDentes® implant bridge is designed and fitted by a Specialist Prosthodontist and an Oral Maxilla Surgeon in a hospital setting. However, the role of the family dentist or general clinical should never be underestimated nor undervalued. Dr Tan sees that collaboration with his referring dentists is essential to the delivery of the positive clinical outcomes he achieves. It’s a role that requires support and protection. No one knows your patients as well as you do and after caring for them over, what would quite foreseeably be, decades it is important that you remain involved in their ongoing care.
To support you to be involved in post-operative care Dr Tan runs CPD lectures and workshops several times throughout the year in various Asia-Pacific locations.
